I'm going to jump around a bit with my posts. Thought it would be fun to post an entry from grandma's diaries here and there. They start in January 1951, go up thru I think about 1980 or so, maybe later. Most of the stuff she wrote was just what the weather was, who stopped by for dinner, ect. But here and there I read stuff that's kinda fun to read.
So let's start with January 6, 1951:
"35 Below.
Dad applied for his drivers license. Sent pictures of us to Miriam, Hal, Peggy and Vernon."
Grandpa applied for his drivers license in 1951? And 35 BELOW!!!???
Oh, and Peggy was my dad's first wife. Strange lady from what I hear.
August3 1951:
"Water installed in the house, hot and cold. Dad initiated the bathroom, took a bath."

Hehehe initiated the bathroom! And are you saying it was YOUR dad's first wife???? I don't think I knew that grampy was married before nana....you must tell me more, cause now I'm super curious!!!
